The rules
Clear, simple and fair.
These rules apply throughout the ten-week league.
Teams and players
Teams may register between one and six players. Six is the maximum number playing for a team in any week. A full-season ticket covers the registered number of players. Additional players or substitutes pay £3 for the week and remain subject to the six-player maximum. League points belong to the team, not individual players.
League points
Every attending team receives 1 point. First place receives 2 additional points. Second place receives 1 additional point. Third place receives 1 additional point.
Prizes
The weekly winning team receives £25 cash plus a round of drinks. The team leading the league after all ten weeks wins the £1,000 cash grand prize.
Season tie-break
If teams are level on league points at the end of the final quiz, those teams will answer a sudden-death question on the final night until one league winner remains.
Registration and payment
Submitting the form creates a pending registration. A team’s place is confirmed only after payment has been received and verified by Ye Olde Red Horse. Customers can request a payment link or pay cash at the pub. No payment is taken automatically on this website.
